Video: Saraki Tells How PDP Leaders Paid Last Respect To Ex -Chairman, Ogbulafor

Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has revealed how chieftains of the main opposition party, People’s Democratic Party PDP) paid last respects to late national chairman, Vincent Ogulafor.

Ogbulafor from Abia state on died on 6 October 2022, at the age of 73.

Ogbulafor was National Secretary of the PDP, Chairman of the Party and Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at different points in the party’s 16 years control of the Federal Government that ended in 2015 – with Saraki playing major role.

Saraki and other chieftains operating under the informal tag “nPDP” joined other parties to form the All Progressives Party (APC) that brought Muhammadu Buhari to power.

Saraki emerged Senate President but returned to be PDP before the end of his single term on the platform of the APC amid raging crisis.

He lost election to return to the Senate as PDP chieftain 2019 while APC has remained in charge of the Federal Government and his state, Kwara since then.

Telling how PDP members paid last respect to Ogbulafor, Saraki posted – along with a video…

“…, alongside fellow members of the PDP, I paid my final respects to the late Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, the former National Chairman of our great party.

An emotional procession brought Chief Ogbulafor’s remains to the National Secretariat, which served as a profound reminder of life’s fleeting nature and the enduring impact of the legacies we leave behind.

“Throughout his life, our former National Chairman faced numerous challenges, yet his unquestionable dedication to the party and its principles ultimately prevailed and the Almighty vindicated him.

As we have eulogized this great man, we recognize his impact in our lives and the polity, and pray that the family, friends and associates that he has left behind continue to find strength at this difficult time.

He will be sincerely missed.”

The former Senate President made the post on his social media page.

Ogbulafor will be buried in his native town, Obuohia, Itaja – Olokoro Umuahia South, Abia State on July 28, 2023.
