Former Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has hailed his former associate, Ileowo Kikiowo, for his loyalty, commitment and sacrifice, describing his contribution to the effort to build a progressive and people-friendly government in Osun as one that “cannot be overlooked.”

Aregbesola, in a birthday message to Kikiowo, who clocked 40, described him as “a gem” and “exceptionally resourceful,” recalling his service in the Department of Special Assignments and later in the New Media segment of his office during his tenure as governor.

“My dear brother, Ileowo Kikiowo, you are a gem. You are not just loyal; you are exceptionally resourceful. You have been a major pillar of support to me in the areas of your strength,” Aregbesola said.

He praised Kikiowo for distinguishing himself as “a dutiful, loyal, committed, and excellent personality” while serving in his administration.

The former governor also recalled Kikiowo’s commitment to the service of his office in Abuja, saying he had remained “a dutiful, efficient, and well-disciplined associate” over the years.

Aregbesola particularly acknowledged Kikiowo’s role in the political effort that preceded the just-concluded Osun election, saying the sacrifice he made toward rekindling “a genuinely progressive and people-friendly government” in the state could not be ignored.

“The sacrifice you made in our effort to rekindle a genuinely progressive and people-friendly government in Osun during the just-concluded election cannot be overlooked. You have always been there without reservation,” the former minister stated.

He prayed for divine guidance and continued support for Kikiowo as he marked the milestone.

“As you celebrate the landmark 40th anniversary of your birth, I can only wish you the very best that life has to offer,” Aregbesola said.

He added: “Congratulations. I wish you long life and a good life. Aamin.”
