Gov Bago Kicks Off APC Campaign For Niger Council Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has flagged off its campaign ahead of the Council elections coming up on the 1st of November, 2025.
Farmer Governor Umaru Bago flagged off the campaign in Minna.
The farmer governor reiterated the commitment of the present administration at all levels to making life better for the citizens.
He enjoined the people of the state to vote for APC for the 25 Chairmanship and 274 Councilorship positions in the state and prayed for peaceful and successful elections.
The farmer governor also charged APC stakeholders and supporters in the state to work assiduously to ensure the party comes out victorious in the forthcoming council elections.
The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, who doubles as the Director General of the APC State Campaign Council for the Council elections, Abdulmalik Sarkindaji, said the Council elections will be a litmus test of the integrity, capacity, and popularity of the ruling party, assuring that all the APC will be victorious in the 1st November Council elections.
APC National Vice Chairman, North Central, Mu’azu Bawa Rijau, who represented the National Chairman of the party, said the remarkable achievements of the APC across the nation are a true reflection of the party’s change mantra and urged the electorate to vote for APC in the council elections.
The APC State Chairman, Alh. Aminu Musa Bobi, said the party will abide by all the laid-down electoral guidelines and will accept the outcome of the elections and encouraged party faithful and the general public to come out en masse to vote for the APC candidates.
Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security Sen. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi called on the residents of the state to reciprocate the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and farmer governor Umaru Bago by voting for APC candidates for more dividends of democracy.
In their separate remarks, former Deputy Governors of Niger State, Ahmed Musa Ibeto and Ahmed Muhammad Ketso, also added their voices by calling for support for the success of the party and also enjoined the candidates to provide quality leadership at the grassroots when voted into office.
Chairman of the National Population Commission, Alh. Aminu Yusuf encouraged all eligible voters to ensure that they vote for APC candidates, as their leadership will complement the Bago-led administration in the state.
Other speakers who spoke in local languages, including the member representing Shiroro/Rafi/Munya federal constituency, Ismaila Musa Danmodibo; member of the State Assembly representing Bosso, Abu Gomna; and the coordinator to the farmer governor on media, Bilaal Qasim Adebayo, drummed support for APC.
The political campaign flag-off was climaxed by the presentation of the APC flags to all the chairmanship candidates of the party, signalling the commencement of Council election campaigns across the State.
