Amosun’s Younger Brother’s 8th Day Fidau Holds Friday
described as reserved and hale and hearty until the point of his death
The eighth-day Fidau prayer for Oyesiku, younger brother of influential politician, Ibikunle Amosun, will hold on Friday, March 20, 2026.
Oyesiku, described as reserved and hale and hearty until the point of his death, passed away on the evening of Friday, March 13, 2026. He was buried the following day according to Islamic rites.
His sudden demise has been both shocking and crushing to those who knew him, especially family members.
Amosun — a former governor and senator — and his elder brother, popularly known as Alhaji Agba, are said to be deeply devastated by the loss.
Amosun, who reportedly cancelled his Umrah (lesser Hajj) to attend to the family during the difficult period, is said to have set aside his personal grief to support the widow and children as they come to terms with the loss.
The eighth-day prayer for the repose of the deceased will be held at his residence in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.
