Insiders insist that, contrary to widespread claims, no firm agreement has been reached on who will fly the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag in Ogun State for the 2027 election.
“Yes, Yayi remains the frontline aspirant, but talks of a consensus are nowhere near settled,” a source said.
Yayi, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, has mounted a long-running campaign for the governorship.
He faces stiff opposition from multiple quarters, including his kinsman, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, a serial gubernatorial contender.
