Bago Mourns MoIliyasu Tauheed
, father-in-law to the 12th Etsu Nupe, the late Alh. Umaru Sanda Ndayako.
Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago mourns Alh. Iliyasu Tauheed, father-in-law to the 12th Etsu Nupe, the late Alh. Umaru Sanda Ndayako.
In a condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the farmer governor says the death of Alh. Tauheed is a monumental loss to the entire state.
He describes the deceased as a peaceful, humble, and astute educationist who made a significant impact on many lives, including elder statesmen like Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida,Gen Abdulsalami Alhaji Abubakar, Gen. Gado Nasko, the late Gen. Mamman Kontagora, and the late Gen. Mamman Vatsa, among others.
The farmer governor maintains that Alh.Iliyasu Tauheed has written his name in gold in terms of the educational growth and development of Niger State.
He commiserates with the family of the deceased and that of the late 12th Etsu Nupe’s family over the demise of Alh.Iliyasu Tauheed and encourages them to be consoled by the remarkable life he lived.
The farmer governor prays that Allah will accept the soul of Alh.Iliyasu Tauheed into Aljanna and grant all the bereaved comfort.
The late Alh. Iliyasu Tauheed joined Government College Bida in 1954 as an instructor and retired in 1988.
He is survived by many children in diverse fields of endeavour including Alh. Baba Minin Iliyasu, former Director of Test and Measurement, Ministry of Education, Niger State; Alh. Hussaini Iliyasu former Acting Coordinator FCT Fadama Development Project and Niger state Coordinator Agriculture Graduates Association of Nigeria (AGAN) and one of his daughters Hajiya Safiya Ndayako, who married the 12rh Estu Nupe, late Alh. Umaru Sanda Ndayako.
