Behind-The-Scene As Former Governor Okowa Plans Return To Senate
has begun moves to re-enter the Senate in 2027
Former Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, is plotting a return to the Senate.
Okowa, who represented Delta North before becoming governor in 2015, served two terms from 2015 to 2023.
Sources say he has begun moves to re-enter the Senate in 2027.
There are strong indications he would get the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the position.
Meanwhile, Chinedu Sydney Allanah, a popular name with growing political influence, is said to be mobilising support for Okowa’s return.
Allanah, a key figure in the Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO) in Delta State, is believed to be rallying grassroots and elite backing as early permutations ahead of 2027 begin to take shape.
With Aminu Suleiman as Director General, the TSO is one of the key groups championing the re-election of President Bola Tinubu across the country.
