Faces At Influential Politician Alebiosu’s Annual “Ileya” Get-Together
Ileya is the informal name for the Eid al-Adha celebration
On Saturday, June 7, 2025, influential politician Alhaji Adedeji Busura Alebiosu hosted his annual Ileya get-together.

Ileya is the informal name for the Eid al-Adha celebration in Southwest Nigeria.

True to tradition, the event was held at his Ogun State home in Ijebu-Ode.

The political phenomenon is the Chairman of the esteemed Council of Otunbas in Ijebuland.

The yearly celebration testifies to the love he attracts in the politics of Lagos, particularly in Kosofe, his political base.

And this year was no different for the member of the powerful Governance Advisory Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.

Guests at the celebration included Ganiyu Solomon, the state legislator for Kosofe I; Moyi Ogunleye, Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Area; Princess Simiat Bola Bada, Chairman of Ikosi Local Council Development Area; Dele Osinowo, Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area; and Tola Oyedele, a chairmanship candidate in the upcoming Lagos council elections.


Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront Development, Dayo Alebiosu—who is also the son of Alhaji Alebiosu—was on hand to enrich the experience for guests as co-host of the talk-of-the-town event.
