Suleja, Niger State, will this Sunday take its turn to host Globacom’s iconic comedy concert, the Glo Laffta Fest. It will be the second time the town has experienced sublime entertainment this month as the company had earlier held its Mega Music Nationwide Tour there on August 5.

Globacom said in a press statement sent out on Friday that the show would be held at 1 p.m. at Tommy Hill Station Hotel, Suleja. It assured residents of the town of an exciting comedy time as it would replicate the best of humour which was on display at the 19 locations where the show had been staged since April.

The telecom service provider disclosed that leading comedians who are scheduled to perform at the concert include Godwin Komone (Gordons); Bovi Ugboma; Basheer Hammed, widely known as Bash; Osama Akpunonu; Mc Tagwaye, and Princewill Ayiri, adding that up-and-coming acts from the area will also be given an opportunity to showcase their skill.

To attend the Suleja edition of Glo Laffta Fest, Glo subscribers are expected to use up to N2,000 credit within one month and text LOL with the location name to the short code 240; for example, “LOL Suleja” to 240. Globacom added that subscribers who do not meet this criterion but who wish to attend can purchase N2,000 airtime at the event venue to get an entry ticket.

Bovi, who also gave a hint of what to expect at the show, said Glo subscribers would have the “fun of their lives” as it would mark the first time such an array of top comedians would perform together in Suleja. He urged residents of the town not to miss out on the fun.

Glo Laffta Fest has so far been held in Port Harcourt, Abuja, Owerri, Warri, Yenegoa, Calabar, Uyo, Ibadan, Benin, Ijebu-Ode, Kaduna, Abeokuta, Victoria Island, FESTAC, Ikorodu and Kubwa.

After Suleja, the next city to host the show is Kano, after which it will move to other locations, including Anyigba, Lokoja, Port Harcourt, Onitsha, Makurdi and Ajah.
