Diri attends burial ceremony of Late Madam Wanzor in Egbema-Angalabiri

Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri today attended the burial ceremony of Late Madam Nanakumo Korobou Wanzor at Egbema-Angalabiri community, Ekeremor Local Government Area.

The Late Madam Wanzor who died at the age of 88 years was the mother of the Deputy Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Michael Ogbere.

Governor Diri expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and community.

“We have come to extend our condolences to the bereaved family, community and Local Government Area. Our mother lived a fulfilled life. She brought up her children very well. She produced the number four man in Bayelsa State. So today, we have come to honour her and the family.

To the people of Egbema-Angalabiri, I want to assure you that your government will continue to prioritize your development and welfare. Our government already approved the Toru-Ebeni – Egbemo-Angalabiri road. Let’s live in unity and love to attract more development to our area”, Gov. Diri said.

Dignitaries at the burial ceremony were the Deputy Governor, Dr. Peter Akpe, Leader of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Obolo-Bubou and other lawmakers, Secretary to the State government, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Chairman of Bayelsa State APC, Hon. Warman Ogoriba, Commissioners, Chairman of Ekeremor LGA, Hon. Onniye Isaac, 2027 APC Bayelsa West Senatorial candidate, Elder Fidelis Agbiki, and other top government officials.
