Senator Lanre Tejuosho In Major Show Down With Gov Ibikunle Amosun

Lanre Tejuosho, the embattled Senator from Ogun state is not going down without a fight.

Sources disclosed to societynow.ng that the Senator representing Ogun Central is prepared for a major showdown with Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Amosun has declared the intention to take over Tejuosho’s senatorial seat.

The governor – a former Senator – wants to return to the Senate after the two-term allowed by the constitution.

But Tejuosho has refused to “just allow” the governor to take his seat.

Insiders disclosed Tejuosho wants to challenge the Governor for the party ticket at a primary election.

Tejuosho, Amosun, and lesser-known Ganiyu Hamzat are listed as in contention for the Ogun Central Senatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun state societynow.ng gathered.

The development comes as Senator Tejuosho resumes “activities” on his official Facebook page – after he “disappeared” when Amosun announced the intention to take over his seat.

Multiple sources however disclosed to societynow.ng that Amosun is generally seen as good as secured the Ogun Central Senatorial ticket.

“Amosun holds the structure of the APC in Ogun state firmly in his hands. Tejuosho owes his current status to Amosun’s magnanimity. So the Senator moving against the wish of the governor is just the last gasp of a dying aspiration” a source disclosed to societynow.ng.
