The younger Osoba refused to be a consensus candidate to slug it out with the other aspirants in a direct primary election.

Societynow.ng learned Osoba refused to be a consensus candidate to avoid been seen as a loyalist of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

And that his father’s structure is finally behind Governor Amosun.

Amosun hijacked the structure of the All Progressives Congress from Olumide’s father and transformed him into a leader without power.

The early stages of Amosun’s plot against the former governor denied the son the opportunity to return to the House of Representatives.

And took out whatever influence the elder Osoba had in the party.
