Ogun SSG Dozes Off At Town Hall Meeting On Budget

“You can not cheat nature” -, that is the popular saying that played out at a town hall meeting on the Ogun state 2023 budget.

At the center of the happening was the Tokunbo Talabi, the powerhouse of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Talabi, the Secretary to the State Government credited with the business-like approach to governance that is the bedrock of the administration’s achievements was caught on camera dozing off.

The “natural occurrence” transpired at the June 12 Cultural Centre during the engagement with the people of Egba Division SocietyNow.Ng learned.

The deliberation was on “the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and 2023 Budget” according to the information at hand.

Interestingly, nature caught up with Talabi, a billionaire businessman pressured to take the Ogun SSG appointment, at the time the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo was lauding the products of the wondrous foundation he laid.

“All the list that I had with me, as the governor was speaking, I started ticking them off one after the other. You see, you cannot beat a governor who makes promises and keeps promises.

“All the roads I listed here, he had started work on them and completed some, and he has promised to start on new ones,” Alake declared to great applause at the town hall meeting.

Talabi’s principal, Governor Dapo Abiodun is seeking a second term in office as candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 election.

Alake’s declaration is great campaign material for Abiodun’s handlers and sympathizers SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

“It is really not surprising what happened to the SSG, the man is a workaholic. He has a lot on his plate, always doing plenty of things at the same time. It is just a matter of time that this kind of thing happens to such a person” SocietyNow.Ng learned.
