While Biyi Otegbeye battles to regain his mandate as the Ogun state gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the court of law, SocietyNow.Ng’s checks have uncovered key players who refused to be slowed down by the legal challenge.

A Federal High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State on Friday, November 25, 2022, invalidated the candidacy of Otegbeye based on claims that the process that produced him was flawed.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that Otegbeye who is the preferred choice of Senator Ibikunle Amosun as the next Governor of Ogun state is challenging the judgment in a higher court.

While the legal process is on, SocietyNow.Ng gathered that allies of Amosun who have also deep convictions in Otegbeye’s gubernatorial are unrelentingly working, ramping up support statewide ahead of an anticipated favorable judgment.

The information at hand revealed that among those leading the charge are Dele Ogunsiji – a former commissioner and Federal House of Representatives member and Muyiwa Oladipo – a former Commissioner and Speaker of Ogun state House of Assembly.

Societynow.Ng gathered that also involved are Suraju Olusesi, the former Chairman of Civil Service Commission and Kunle Elegbede the ex-commissioner for Information.

Not left out of the unrelenting campaigners for Otegbeye are Ogbeni Lanre Bajomo and Ademola Fadairo.

Particularly active as a campaigner for Otegbeye in his political base of Yewa is a former Minister and ex-Senator,  Iyabo Anisulowo.

Senator Amosun is said to be fueling the unceasing campaign for Otegbeye that also has former state legislator Tunde Sanusi and others including Yemi Akintomide and Banji Ogunbiyi as strong advocates.

“They are working hard behind the scene, collaborating with others and building a strong support base to give Otegbeye a major push once his legal battle is sorted out” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Otegbeye is looking to beat re-election seeking Governor Dapo Abiodun of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Ladi Adebutu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the position of Governor of Ogun state in the general election 2023.
