How NURTW Chairman MC Akinsaya Got “Oluomo” Tittle & Doesn’t Affect Ambition To Be Oshodi King

Multiple sources insist that the title “Oluomo” does not affect the aspiration of Muslilu Akinsanya, the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) to become a King in Lagos State.

The NURTW Boss famously known as MC Oluomo wants to become the traditional ruler in Oshodi where he has cult following.

The area which has been in existence for about 300 years has always been ruled by Baales – regional heads – but MC Oluomo who has a strong influence in the circle in charge of affairs of Lagos state wants to get the position upgraded to Kingship status when he takes the throne.

His ambition to transform from transport union boss to traditional ruler has generated wild public discussions with two major issues thrown up.

One is that he is already a chieftaincy holder as “Oluomo” and this makes him ineligible to become King.

The information available to SocietyNow.Ng revealed that “Oluomo” just like “MC” is just a moniker and not a title for the Lagos NURTW chairman.

“He has always been known as MC but his followers added Oluomo around 2000 or so. It was in recognition of the ingenious ways he resolves issues and steps up when issues crop up as well as his open-handedness with money” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Oluomo means “unique being”, “best of the lot” or “special child”.

The other claim is that he has no biological links to Oshodi or any of the ruling houses.

Added details available has it that “Though his father is from Ejigbo he has maternal ties to the Almoroof family of Oshodi. His grandmother has roots in the Almoroof family which is one of the ruling Houses in Oshodi” SocietyNow.Ng learned.

MC Oluomo wants to become a King in Oshodi based on this and there are precedents for this in Lagos State and, even beyond SocietyNow.Ng gathered.
