Details As Gov Abiodun’s “Chief Warrior” Loses Influence

Emerging details have it that the main person championing the cause of the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun has started losing his influence.

Tunji Samson Egbetokun, the Senior Special Adviser on Political Matter has been a major fighter in the protection of everything good about Governor Abiodun and the Ogun State Government since 2019.

The former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly was one of the major pillars in the campaigns that brought Abiodun to power.

Societynow.ng gathered that the former lawmaker leveraged on cultivated closeness to Governor Abiodun to become very relevant in the present administration until recently.

Insiders say the closeness to Governor Abiodun has been cut off.

Egbetokun does not have free access to the Governor again societynow.ng learned.

“Before he can freely come to the office to see the Governor at will but now he has to book an appointment, event at that his meeting with D.A (Dapo Abiodun) is not guaranteed” societynow.ng further learned.

More details revealed that Egbetokun lost his influence in the emerging scenario that has further empowered Secretary to the State Government Tokunbo Talabi and Chief of Staff to the Governor, Salisu Shuaib Afolabi as the closest appointees to Governor Abiodun.

The checks by societynow.ng revealed that Egbetokun’s loss of influence has resulted in his increasing absence in defending Governor Abiodun and his government in the public space – especially now that is it is greatly needed.

Dapo Abiodun faces the growing might of his biggest political enemy, Ibikunle Amosun as an increasing number of his loyalists joins the rank of the former Governor ahead of the 2023 general election.
