Details: All Ogun Senators Openly Move Against Gov Abiodun

All the Senators in Ogun State have turned their backs against Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The three senators in the State namely 61year old Ramoni Lekan Mustapha (Ogun East), 57yr old Tolu Odebiyi (Ogun West), and 63year old Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun Central).
Amosun, the immediate past Governor of Ogun state has refused to bury the hatchet of his passionate pre-election fight with 61year old Governor Abiodun.
The two other Senators – Odebiyi and Mustapha – who helped Abiodun win the all-out fight against Amosun in the 2019 gubernatorial election have switched allegiance and joined forces with the former Governor.
They made their decision public when they shunned the M.K.O Abiola Stadium venue of Saturday’s congress to determine the new Ogun state executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) backed by Dapo Abiodun in favor of another with Amosun as the leader.
The Amosun faction held its congress at Ake, within the compound housing the palace of the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo.
Both venues are located in the Ogun state capital, Abeokuta.
All the Senators attended the congress held by Amosun backed APC in Ogun state in an open declaration of political antagonism against Abiodun societynow.ng confirmed.
The staging of different congresses by the two different factions APC factions headed by Amosun and Abiodun is part of the intense fight for control of the party structure in Ogun State by the Governor and his predecessor.
