Details: Amosun Takes Giant Steps To Reclaim Political Power In Ogun State

Immediate former governor of Ogun state Ibikunle Amosun is taking giant steps to retake political power in Ogun state.

The former Governor lost political power and had his influence considerably reduced when the coalition that include Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Aremo Segun Osoba, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, Bimbo Ashiru, and Lagos senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola took Amosun headlong and helped Dapo Abiodun become the Governor in 2019.

The checks by societynow.ng revealed that though Amosun who is the Senator representing Ogun Central remains one of the politicians to be reckoned with in the state, the political power – official and unofficial – resides with the coalition of forces with Governor Dapo Abiodun as the presumed leader.

And Amosun, after a review of the situation at hand and with the 2023 general election beckoning, has changed tactics in the battle against the political forces protecting Governor Abiodun.

“Rather than fight them, Amosun is now mending fences with them. He is making peace with all key loyalists who went with the other side and negotiating peace with all those he can” societynow.ng learned.

Added information has it that this development is “yielding major” rewards for Amosun who has refused to make peace with Governor Abiodun.

“He is doing it very quietly and many will be surprised by the number and caliber of politicians Amosun has made peace with and working on to be a part of his agenda for the 2023 general election” societynow.ng learned.
