Popular gubernatorial aspirant, Dapo Abiodun has raised alarm of intimidation as the All Progressives Congress primary election to determine gubernatorial candidate in Ogun state holds today.

Here are details of the Heyden Oil communication as sourced by societynow.ng

Warm greetings to all members of the All Progressives Congress – APC in Ogun State and beyond.

We would like to seize this opportunity to alert our party members, good people of Ogun State and the general public on a clandestine and furtive political moves covertly being made within Ogun APC by the current government at the state level.

It has come to our attention that the State Government is planning to intimidate and harass loyal, obedient and peace loving members of APC that are qualified voters in the forthcoming direct primary elections and consequently disrupt the event.

We were able to discover the fact that some hired thugs have been well mobilized by the government to this effect. This attempt is an obvious act of desperation which is highly condemnable and reprehensible.

In a democratic setting, the freedom of associating with any political party or group and the right to hold certain political belief and ideology should not be infringed upon by anybody. It is a fundamental right that no party member should be denied of or punished for.

We are still at lost as to the reason why a party leader will plan to unleash terror on the members of his own political party just because they are not on the same page with him.

This is the highest level of political absurdity that anyone can ever imagine or envisage.

We hereby put the public and the security agencies on notice, as we equally hope that this will not happen in our great party which is widely known as a peace loving party by the public.

Signed
Media Director,
Dapo Abiodun Campaign Organization – DACO‎
