Abiodun, Daniel & Amosun In Fresh “Struggle”

worked against one another in Ogun gubernatorial

Emerging details reveal that a fresh struggle is on in the political circle of Ogun state.

It involves three chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governor Dapo Abiodun, Senator-Elect Gbenga Daniel, and former Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that the underground struggle is who gets and becomes what in the administration of about-to-be-sworn-in-President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Their new struggle is cornering appointments at the federal level and amassing as much influence as possible to be in control of the politics of Ogun State” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

The move is said to be on.

Abiodun took “total control” of the APC structure in Ogun state ahead of the 2023 election.

The long-term goal of the fresh struggle over appointments and influence in Tinubu’s administration is to “undo” the Governor’s grip on the Ogun state chapter of the party SocietyNow.Ng learned.

While they worked for the victory of Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria, the three politicians worked against one another in Ogun gubernatorial and state house of Assembly elections that was held on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Abiodun secured a second term in a disputed victory, Ladi Adeubut of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) backed by Daniel is challenging Abiodun’s gubernatorial win while Biyi Otegbeye, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) sponsored by Amosun came a distant third.

Otegbeye got 94, 754 votes, Adebut secured 262,383 votes and Abiodun polled 276, 298 votes according to the declarations made by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Adebutu is contesting Abiodun’s win of 13, 915 votes more than his own.

The PDP gubernatorial candidate insists that by the doctrine of margin of lead before cancellation – he won the election. Adebutu asserted he was leading by 33,000 votes before the cancellation of results in the affected areas.
