Yemi Oke Tells Why He Wants To Take Over Amosun’s Senatorial Seat
“I do not belong to any faction by deliberate choice” he says
Yemi Oke, the Bada Baamofin of Egbaland has expressed interest in the Ogun Central Senatorial seat.
The position is currently occupied by former Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
Oke, 49, has started consultation to achieve actualize his ambition in 2023.
The Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law -University of Lagos – is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the same political party as Senator Amosun.
“I do not belong to any faction by deliberate choice. I prefer a United APC.” one of those close to the aspirant quoted him.

Further checks by SocietyNow.Ng revealed that Oke joined the APC in 2014 when it was formed as a foundation member in Lagos but shifted base to Ogun state (Abeokuta) in the recent nationwide registration exercise conducted by the party.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCITN), author of law textbooks on Energy Law, Electricity Law; International Institutions and the Managing Partner/Founding Principal, MJS PARTNERS, Oke who admitted that Senator Amosun is a formidable political figure to go against provided insight into what he has to offer with the declaration that “I’ll ensure that Government’s social policies and economic policies make better sense and impact. I’ll rally foreign and local professionals to assist in changing economic directions and fortunes of the country, particularly my Senatorial District (Ogun Central)”.
Senator Amosun is presently decorated with talks of Presidential ambition ahead of the 2023 election.
