Allanah Intensifies Behind-The-Scenes Push For Okowa’s Senate Return
lobbying is said to cut across APC caucuses and influential blocs beyond the party
Chinedu Sydney Allanah, a leading campaigner for former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s return to the Senate, has intensified behind-the-scenes efforts to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Delta North ahead of 2027.
Sources say Allanah, a rising political force in Delta and prominent figure in the Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), has become increasingly visible in strategic engagements aimed at positioning Okowa for a political comeback.
His lobbying is said to cut across APC caucuses and influential blocs beyond the party, projecting the former governor as the strongest contender for the Delta North senatorial seat.
Okowa, who represented Delta North in the Senate before emerging governor in 2015, is believed to have commenced early moves to return to the National Assembly after completing his tenure as governor in 2023.
Insiders say indications are strong that he could secure the APC ticket as political realignments ahead of the next election cycle gather momentum.
Allanah, whose influence within Delta politics continues to grow, is reportedly working both grassroots and elite networks to build early consensus around Okowa’s ambition.

He is said to believe that Okowa’s return as a ranking senator would significantly strengthen Delta North’s voice in Abuja and boost the facilitation of federal projects, not only for the district but for Delta State as a whole.
Sources further disclosed that Allanah is already seeking collaborations with multiple caucuses and strategic political interests as part of long-term planning to ensure Okowa’s path to both the APC ticket and eventual electoral victory remains firm.
Within the broader political framework, Allanah’s mobilisation is also seen as aligning with wider Tinubu re-election structures in Delta, where the Tinubu Support Organisation — under the leadership of Director General Aminu Suleiman — remains one of the major groups championing President Bola Tinubu’s second-term agenda.
For insiders, the emerging calculations suggest that Okowa’s Senate comeback bid is no longer speculative but part of an evolving political project, with Allanah increasingly positioned as one of its most visible and strategic drivers.
