Meet Young Female Politician Up Against Veterans For Amosun’s Senatorial Seat
“She engaging different people and utilizing different platforms”
More aspirants are showing interests in the Senatorial seat occupied by former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun (who is decorated with increasing talks of ambition to be the next President of Nigeria).
And one of those them is Olatorera Mejekodunmi – Oniru.
SocietyNow.Ng gathered that the 35year old may be the youngest aspirant but she is the most intentional so far in the campaign to take over the Senatorial seat of Ogun Central from Amosun.
Those the fresh player in the politics of Ogun State is up against include former Senators Gbenga Obadara, 61 and Lanre Tejuosho (58), former Secretary to Ogun State Government Taiwo Adeoluwa as well as Bada Baamofin of Egbaland, Yemi Oke.

Obadara represented Ogun Central as Senator from 2011 to 2015 while Tejuosho occupied the same position from 2015 to 2019.
Adeoluwa touted as the most preferred person by Amosun to takeover the Ogun Central Senatorial seat served as Ogun SSG from 2011 to 2019 and was a powerful influence in the government of the former Governor.
Baamofin Oke has entrenched himself over time in the political and communal circuits before his recent declaration of interest in the Ogun Central senatorial seat.
Checks by SocietyNow.Ng Olatorera who is married to Prince Adedapo Oniru – of the Oniru royal family in Lagos – measures up to the exploits of the veterans she is up against with the pedigree of her father, Femi Majekodunmi.

The elder Majekodun, the chairman of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUPEB) is a known name in the politics of Ogun State.
Said to be very close ties for former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the SUPEB chairman has declared interest in becoming the Governor of Ogun State more than once.
“Naturally, her father’s clout and interest will be of advantage” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.
The added information available, however, revealed that to her credit Olatorera appears to be running more vibrant and intentional awareness creation initiatives for her ambition than the others.
“She engaging different people and utilizing different platforms – including open association with Governor Dapo Abiodun – to make her self and her mission known” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

A mother of two, Olatorera Majekodunmi – Oniru is the Chief Executive Officer at Dressmeoutlet.com and founder of Olatorera Consultancy Limited, and a public speaker on “topics related to leadership, entrepreneurship and technology driving Africa’s growth.”
According to SocietyNow.Ng’s checks on manpowre.com.ng she had “her basic education at Mary Hill Primary School, Oyo state, and Queen’s College, Lagos. She moved abroad in August 2002 where she attended Leesville High School in North Carolina, USA. In 2008, she graduated Cum Laude Honors with a degree in Business Administration/ Management and Entrepreneurship from the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
Olatorera also earned a scholarship-based Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree from the prestigious Emory University USA and Executive Management Certificates from Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden and International Institute for Management Development, Switzerland.”
