Emerging details that the investigation into the allegations of corruption against the speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa has spiraled into another state.

Sources disclosed that investigators are combing Ogun State for hidden properties believed to be owned by the embattled House of Assembly Speaker.

The speaker is believed to have quietly acquired as well as building major properties in the neighboring state societynow.ng learned.

Obasa is under investigation for an allegation of diversion of funds, inflated expenses, and general abuse of office.

The investigation which nearly resulted in detention when he appeared at the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has resulted in the freezing of some bank accounts linked to the Speaker and unearthing of high-value properties he reportedly acquired directly or through proxies.

The speaker has distanced himself from some of the properties he allegedly bought insisting he has nothing to do with it in the face of contrary claims
