Gov Nyesom Wike Tells How Offering Time In Churches Reveals How Bad The Economy Is

Governor of Rivers state Nyesom Wike insists that the economy is really bad.

‘’you know things are really hard (bad) during offering time in churches. People will go round the offering basket and bend down to put what they have inside it. They would have folded the hundred Naira. And fold it and fold it before dropping it into the offering basket so that nobody would see it’’ the governor revealed.

‘’It is when it is your turn that you will see what the drop’’ the Governor of Rivers state added.

Wike made the disclosure during ‘’ Interactive Session With Legal Practitioners’’ in PortHarcourt on Monday, February 4, 2019.

The event was organized by the Nigeria Bar Association.

The re-election seeking governor of Rivers state made the comments in an attempt to explain to the body of lawyers why the state government is finding it hard to cater for the needs of the practitioners of the legal profession.
