Details: Dapo Abiodun Gives Ambode’s Man Man Mouth- Watering Contracts …But The End Users Are Groaning

OLekan Adebiyi, one of the major contractors in the administration of former governor of Lagos State Akinwunmi Ambode is reaping big in Ogun State according to those in the know.

Governor Dapo Abiodun is said to have blessed the man fingered as one of the alleged fronts of Ambode with mouth-watering contracts in Ogun State.

‘’Adebiyi’s case is that of God blesses whoever he chose to bless. Many thought it was all over for Adebiyi when Ambode was infamously denied a second term in Lagos state and those with close ties to him blacklisted but obviously, this is not so’’ Societynow.ng.

Adebiyi has found favor in the eyes of Governor Dapo Abiodun and his quietly emerging one of the biggest contractors in Ogun State – even though one of Abiodun’s main backers, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was responsible for Ambode’s woes.

Insiders disclosed that silent power behind Addas Ultimate Limited – with his wife Omolara as a major stakeholder – is handling road construction projects in Ogun State.

One of the projects Adebiyi is involved in is disclosed as a massive big-money road expansion project.

‘’He is playing a major role in the road expansion project from the Lagos Ibadan expressway inward state capital Abeokuta.’’ Societynow.ng learned.

Those who are familiar with happening at the project site, however, disclosed that road users are groaning under the difficulty imposed by the manner of work at the place.

‘’It is a long stretch two lanes on either side of the expressway to and fro, and instead of working on a particular side in batches, the contractor scrapped all the side and force road users to utilize the other side with vehicles going in and out of Abeokuta facing one another’’ Societynow.ng learned.
Sources disclosed that this development has imposed lots of traffic jams on the road, especially when vehicles got spoilt.

‘’It is hellish traveling that road based on the way the road expansion is being handled’’ a source disclosed.

Insiders disclosed that interestingly, the conclusion date appended on the signage announcing the project has lapsed – and there is no sign of when the work will be concluded.

‘’The icing is that the road is a regular route of the Governor and the situation remains the same. Many believe that is an indication of how accommodating Governor Abiodun is of Adebiyi and his crew, the same manner Ambode accommodated Adebiyi in Lagos’’ societynow.ng learned.

Before Adebiyi before he found favor in the eyes of Abiodun he was dubbed the billionaire Lagos contractor. He was to Ambode what influential contractor Tunji Olowolafe was to Babatunde Fashola when the latter was Governor of Lagos State.

Lafe, as fondly called by friends, handled the majority of the contracts in Lagos State during the administration of Fashola and ensured a ‘’good’’ relationship with Tinubu – which is why he remains relevant in the state, unlike Adebiyi who limited himself to Ambode when he reigned as ‘’Billionaire Lagos contractor’’.
