in his bid to secure a second term in office.
The Governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun has scored a major political point in his bid to secure a second term in office.
Abiodun the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 election in Ogun state scored the point against Biyi Otegbeye, one of his two major political opponents.
Otegbeye backed by former Governor Ibikunle Amosun is the gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ogun state.
The candidature of Otegbeye whose popularity was on the rise was recently invalidated by a court order.

And Abiodun and his men are piling more pressure by taking away supporters of the ADC gubernatorial candidate where it matters.
The governor’s aides hit the town with the revelation that Leke Otegbeye, a family member of the gubernatorial candidate has led key ADC supporters to join the rank of Abiodun’s APC.
Leke, the son of popular politician Tunji Otegbeye reportedly “led other leaders and stalwarts of the African Democratic Party (ADC) to the ruling party”.according to Abiodun’s spokesperson
Leke Otegbeye is a major stakeholder in Biyi Otegbeye’s stronghold and a notable member of his extended family.

Abiodun and his men are celebrating the defection of Otegbeye and his co-travelers from ADC in a manner that boosts the Governor’s chances.
“This is despite the fact that the Abiodun’s men earlier claimed ADC is not a party to be reckoned with in Ogun state” SocietyNow.Ng learned.
The news of the defection of Biyi Otegbeye’s men from ADC to team up with APC is being spread far and wide by Abiodun’s aides.

“We have seen what the governor is doing across the state and I must say he is doing very well. As you know, government is a continuum and we are certain that he is going to do even better. From where he started, he has done a great job and I believe if given another opportunity, he will continue and enhance what he has done so far”, Otegbeye reportedly said.
