Why Alex Onabanjo’s 40yr Old Marriage Crashed!

It is no longer news that the 40years old marriage of Alex Onabanjo to Lanre Adesanya–Onabanjo is over.

And there are also quite a number of direct reasons being adduced for the collapses of the union celebrated several times over.

Societynow, however, gathered the root cause of the break up as estrangement.

Husband and wife were said to have gradually grown apart over the years as they engage in separate “projects”.

Insiders claim as they became engrossed in “personal” things, they failed to carry each other along as they explore new terrain and discover joy in new things.

“They over time became strangers in the marriage, with different ideals” societynow gathered.

The new status reportedly enhanced the differences shoved into the background by “love” and cracks started emerging.

“They had to go their separate ways so as not to destroy all they built over the years” societynow learnt.

Onabanjo is the former in law to ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo.

His daughter Moji – now remarried – was wedded to Gbenga, the former president’s son who made earthshaking allegations against his father and father in law in a bitter divorce.
