Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri last night attended the 80th birthday anniversary of Chief Ephraim Faloughi at DSP Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa.
In his remark, Gov. Diri described the elder statesman as an accomplished businessman and philanthropist, who contributed significantly to the creation and economic development of Bayelsa State.
“Today, is one day that will go in the annals of Bayelsa State that we are gathered together to celebrate the life of our leader, who has been involved in virtually everything concerning the Ijaw nation and indeed the creation of Bayelsa State. He puts in all he could to ensure this state was created. He also invested in this state.
“We are happy with our elder for his contribution to our state and country.
On behalf the government and good people of Bayelsa State, we wish our father and leader, a happy birthday. We wish you many more years in good health, happiness and fulfilled life. And you will continue to be a blessing to Bayelsa State and Nigeria”, Gov. Diri said.
Other dignitaries at the event were Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, immediate past Deputy Governor, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah(Rtd), Member representing Sagbama/Ekeremor federal constituency, Hon. Fred Agbedi, Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Justice Matilda Abrakasa Ayemieye, Prof. Steve Azaiki, Apostle David Zilly Aggrey, Dr. Boladei Igali, Chief Gesiye Asamowei, captains of industries and other top government functionaries.
