Very Tight Security As Ex Gov Ibrahim Shema Escapes Move To Commit Him To Prison Custody In Arraignment For Mega Fraud

Information floating in has it that there was a heavy security in Katsina on Tuesday January 10 2017.

Former Governor Ibrahim Shema was arraigned for alleged mega fraud he perpetrated while in office between May 2007 to May 2015.

He was arraigned by the Katsina state government and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Information revealed the security was meant to forestall a breakdown of law and order in the state between the former governor’s loyalist and supporters of those who want him prosecuted for alleged financial crimes.

There was no eruption of violence while the sitting held at a High Court in the state before justice Ibrahim Bako reports here and there revealed.
There was however a bit of tension when EFCC sought the remand of the former governor to prison custody over alleged refusal to appear in court.

But the court ruled otherwise insisting it’s too early in the case for such a move information revealed.
