“Settle With Asiwaju Or!” Oba Of Lagos, Akiolu Wades Into Ambode, Tinubu’s Cold War

Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, one the strongest supporters of the Governor of Lagos state Akinwunmi Ambode has given him an urgent task.

The royal father has decreed the governor finds a way to settle with his estranged godfather Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Insiders insist Ambode and Tinubu are enmeshed in a cold war over the control of the political power of Lagos state.

Ambode is accused of starving the Tinubu political structure economic gains from government patronage – while he quietly set up a rival movement.

The development is said to have greatly hurt the business interests of Asiwaju and his key men.

The former governor provided a window into existing relationship with the man he helped to power when he publicly stated that it was easier to talk to Fashola – when he was governor – than to Ambode.

Fashola and Tinubu experienced acrimonious relationship over Ambode’s rise to power.

The current situation of things between Ambode and Asiwaju has sparked off doubts over the Governor’s second term in office in political circles despite huge media accolades.

Sources disclosed obviously unhappy with the existing relationship between his golden son and Asiwaju, the Lagos monarch has decreed the governor finds a way to make peace.

“Oba Akiolu told the governor to find a way to make peace with Asiwaju or he would be shocked with what would happen” a source stated.

The Oba of Lagos and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu have an extraordinary relationship that dates back to when the monarch was a high ranking police officer.

The Oba is well known for sharing same sentiments with Asiwaju Tinubu publicly, even if they disagreed in private as was the case with the “Fashola’s second term situation”.

And insiders insist he is certainly not happy that Ambode is having a hand in the bad political history decorating the world of Tinubu at present.
