Why 40yr Old Billionaire Zaccheus Adelabu Is Having Sleepless Nights

Zacheus Adedeji Adelabu is a billionaire – and lots of his friends attest to this.

And even if they don’t, it would take a certain level of monetary clout to be accused of placing traditional rulers on “monthly salaries” and spending more than a serving governor to oil a political machinery…that is the situation with Adelabu who just celebrated his 40th year.

The commissioner for Finance in the first term of Governor Abiola Ajimobi insiders claim he was dropped and made a consultant to Oyo state as a result of his big spending induced popularity.

And there are said to be “uncommon” interests from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as a result of certain life-changing “deals” linked to him.

Those close to him disclosed with his wealth and clout and comfort that comes with it, the 40year old money man is having sleepless nights.

And this reason is attributed to his “obsession about what eventually becomes his fate, politically in the near future”.

The “young money” was reportedly talked out of his gubernatorial interest by “godfather” Governor Ajimobi in exchange for a huge appointment that would prepare him for the number one job in Oyo state.

But the plan to secure him the Postmaster General job didn’t work out.

Though reportedly shortlisted on the strength of passionate lobbying by Ajjimobi, alleged profiling of Adelabu by the EFCC is said to have knocked him out at the last minute.

And now with nothing but a “consultant” to his name as his mentor’s tenure winds down, sources claim Zaccheus is having sleepless nights over what he would end up with.

He is said to be very keen on remaining in the “political system” – by appointment or election- till he actualizes long-term ambition of becoming Governor of Oyo state.
