Security Heightened Around Ex President Olusegun Obasanjo “Homes”

Information available have it that, there is an heightened security awareness around former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Operatives around his homes in Ota and Abeokuta, Ogun state are said to have become more alert.

”They have become more conscious of their of surroundings” a source stated.

Societynowng.com gathered before a clear indication of this is how the stationed security operatives now keep passers by far and away from the abodes. The properties under reference are Obasanjo farm in Ota and the properties in Abeokuta – Opl and Hilltop.

Sources claim even, the modest building on Ita Eko also in Abeokuta is not left out of this improved security awareness.

Hilltop and OPL (Obasanjo Presidential Library) informally used for the massive estate put together by the ex president, are said to receive special attention.

Respected elder state man is said to hold vital meetings at these places.

Sources disclose prior to the recent the operatives are usually cordial to passers by, except when the former President is nearby.

But that posture is labelled changed.

”They have turned very strict and no longer entertain any attempt at familiarity, whether baba is there or not” a source claimed.

Though no special reason has been established for the heightened security awareness around the former President and his properties, spreading talks link it to recent

engagements between the former President and the National Assembly.

Chief Obasanjo had labelled the National Assembly ‘Den of corruption” and carpeted the performances of the current administration in charge of the nations affairs.

The Assembly had come after him, decorating him with all manners of qualifiers including ”morally bankrupt” and ”Grand Father of corruption”

He was also accused of plot to destabilise the government- a very grave charge.

Informants claim heightened security around the ex president and his properties came into effect ”very recently”.
