Beautiful. Classy. Up to expectations. Classic. These are some of the befitting words being used to describe the final burial of the prominent businesswoman and Iya Oba (King’s mother) of Imasayi Kingdom, Madam Musiliat Amoke Falade.

Imasayi is in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, Ogun State.

The event, which attracted role models from different walks of life in honor of the mother of Nasir Ramon—the rare-breed Group Head of External and Media Relations at the pan-African financial services group United Bank for Africa (UBA), catering to the needs of over 45 million customers across 20 African countries,

as well as the United Kingdom (UK), United States of America (USA), France, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)—was held on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

It was a gathering of notable figures in recognition of the far-reaching contributions of the senior citizen whose appellation “Iya Olowoletiasho” signifies wealth acquired through industriousness at a time when hard work was a thing of pride.

The celebration of life took place at St. Stephen Secondary School football pitch, Oke Padre, Ado-Odo.

“Olowoletiasho”—which translates to “one who keeps money at the tip of her cloth”—refers to the period before banks,

when women of commerce kept their earnings tucked at the tip of their wrappers, wrapped around their bodies for safekeeping.

The event started promptly at 12 p.m. with the soothing voice of Tolu Obey on the bandstand.

The September 7, 2024, glamorous final burial ceremony, which treated guests as royalty—without being ostentatious—drew the curtain on burial activities that began with

the transition of the beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother at the high-profile Duchess International Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos State, on July 25, 2024.

A devoted Muslim who fulfilled all five pillars of Islam,

including a pilgrimage to the holy land of Mecca, Alhaja Falade was

committed to mother earth before sundown the same day, in accordance with Islamic dictates, at her residence in Ado-Odo, Ogun State.

Widely regarded as a mother to all,

the senior citizen of immense goodwill—qualities being replicated by her offspring,

especially through the good deeds of the highly connected Ramon Nasir—was 86 years old.

The Saturday September 7, 2024 befitting final burial had Gbenga Adeyinka and Feyikemi Niyi-Olayinka as joint anchor persons.
