Gubernatorial aspirant of factionalized People’s Democratic Party in Ogun state, Ladi Adebutu has revealed the reason he may not contest – and even support the ambition of his opponent within his party.

In a recent interview Adebutu disclosed that if the court rules in favor of the Senator Buruji Kashamu led faction as the authentic PDP structure in Ogun state, he would throw his weight behind them.

Adebutu in the interview insisted what is important is for the PDP to win Ogun state and for Atiku Abubakar to become the next president of Nigeria.

‘’I am willing to work him (Kashamu) if the court gives him victory” Adebutu asserted in the interview he had on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily last week.

Adebutu and party’s leadership are challenging Kashamu’s hold on the Ogun state structure in court.

The development currently threatens the party’s ability to field candidates for elective positions as the deadline by INEC lapses, while the court cases rage.
