Kayode Opeifa Joins Aregbesola, Ganiyu Solomon, Joke Adefulire To “Haggle” For Lagos Senatorial Ticket

Kayode Opeifa has joined the growing list of those haggling for the Lagos West Senatorial Ticket.

Insiders disclosed the former commissioner is keen to pip political mentor and governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola to the position currently occupied by Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.

Senator Adeola is currently fighting hard to become the governor of Ogun state.

Adeola’s gubernatorial ambition puts his senatorial seat up for grabs.

And amongst those already listed as interested are Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon, Ogbeni Aregbesola, and former deputy governor Adejoke Adefulire.

Adefulire currently a special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari is said to be making attempts to clinch the position by ‘’reawakening’’ her late father’s political goodwill.

Aregbesola is said to be especially interested because of the ‘’dire’’ need to maintain political relevance.

Even after eight years as Governor of Osun state, insiders disclose Lagos state remains his best chance of becoming a senator.

And he is said to be working vigorously at achieving the set objective.

Opeifa is said to have joined the race based on strong backing from ‘’influences’’ struggling hard to come up top in the raging power struggle that has taken hold of the state.
