There is a growing talks around the immediate past commissioner for justice and attorney general in Osun state Ajibola Basiru.

And he is evidently battling to contain the development ‎societynow.ng learnt. ‎

The former commissioner is alleged to own choice properties scattered all over Osogbo the state capital of Osun state.


The said properties according to sources are revealed to make up a big estate at Oroki Estate Extension on Goke Omigbodun Way, a residential building on Adejare Bello Way in Oke-Fia area and an office complex on Arubuola street in Ogo oluwa area of the state capital.

According to sources the properties are big money investments – with allegations he puts them in place with government fund decorating the former attorney general.

Those taking him up on the choice acquisition are said to have made a case against him with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, societynow.ng gathered.

The development is obviously giving the politician a sleepless night of sort, those in the know claim.

Interestingly Ajibola Basiru is the All Progressives Congress candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District.

A report monitored on online news platform universal reporters showed a Civil Societies Coalition For The Emancipation Of Osun State (CSCEOS) had petitioned Ibrahim Magu led Economic and Financial Crime Commission on the ground that all the properties allegedly owned by Basiru were acquired with public fund.

The civil society group has comrade Adeniyi Alimi Suleiman as its chairman.
