Insiders Say Gov Abiodun Resident In State Capital, Identifies “Official Residence”

in the face of whispers of trying to keep safe

Inside sources say the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Oluseun Abiodun is not operating from his private residence in Iperu – outside the state capital, Abeokuta.

The Governor is said to presently operate from the state capital and his “official residence” has been identified.

The 61year old is said to reside in the Presidential Lodge inside the Government Reserved Area housing the commissioners’ quarters.

According to the formal arrangement, the Presidential Lodge is reserved for visiting dignitaries while the Government House in another part of the state capital ( Isale Igbehin) is the official residence of the Governor SocietyNow.Ng confirmed.

“He moved there in December 2020” an insider stated.

SocietyNow.Ng’s checks, however, revealed that as of February 2021 workmen were fixing repairs and making the place more “habitable”.

The development fueled talks that the Governor may not live in his designated official quarters known as Government House.

The Governor refused to move into the Government House on the premise of using the money needed to renovate it to taste to execute projects that will impact the public.

This stance is the face of whispers of trying to keep safe from things beyond the ordinary as he opted to operate from his private residence in Iperu after he was sworn in on May 29. 2019.
