Why Gov Abiodun & His Deputy Salako- Oyedele Refuse To Move Into Official Residences
remain locked up.

In Ogun state, the official accommodations of Governor Dapo Abiodun and his Deputy Noimot Salako – Oyedele remain locked up.
The number one and number two citizens of Ogun state have refused to move into their official residences.
Societynow.ng learned that this development is attributed largely to the state of the accommodations when it was handed over by the immediate past administration of former governor Ibikunle Amosun.
” They were in a state of huge disrepair. The amenities are nothing to write home about. Many things were already spoilt and somewhere actually taken away, even pieces of furniture” societynow.ng learned.
Sources claimed that the state of disrepair is such that it will take a tidy sum to put the official residences in proper shapes.
And Governor Abiodun insists he would rather earmark funds for projects that would impact on the people – and the state – than putting up “befitting accommodations” for himself and his deputy.
The governor is said to make use of his private residence in Iperu, Ogun state and Banana Island, Lagos state while his deputy utilizes a rented apartment in Abeokuta- owned by a former Chief Justice of Nigeria – and her private residence in Lekki, Lagos state.
“There is also the spiritual angle to it. The Governor and his Deputy Governor’s prayer warriors are said to be engaged in spiritual cleansing of the official lodges” a source stated.
