Details available have to societynow.ng have it that Governor Dapo Abiodun is about to stop his daily 40 (Forty) mins drive to work.

The Governor has refused to reside in the official quarters in Ibara, Abeokuta – about five minutes drive to his office in Oke Mosan, also in Abeokuta – since he took office on May 29, 2019.

Abiodun prefers to journey from his residence in Iperu, about 40minutes drive when the road is free, to and from his – office daily.

Insiders, however, disclosed the governor is about to put an end to this daily routine.

He is said to have “completed” a place he can put up inside the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta.

The Presidential Lodge is tucked within the Government Reserved Area housing the commissioners’ quarter – and nearer to the Governor’s office than the official residence.

Sources disclosed this new arrangement will take away the strains of the daily 40minutes trip from the Governor’s schedule and make him more accessible to “officials”.

The Governor has kept the official residence locked up under the cover of the need for “assessment and renovation” in the face of whispers of trying to keep safe from things beyond the ordinary.
