Gbemi Saraki is extremely happy at present.

Her brother Bukola Saraki has been knocked out of power.

Bukola – who denied Gbemi political relevance in Kwara state – lost his chance at re-election as Senator representing Kwara Central in Saturday’s general election.

Saraki was the Senate President.

Gbemi is happy because of her contribution to her brother’s defeat.

Societynow.ng gathered that Gbemi, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress struck a deal with the leadership of the APC not to seek an elective post to strengthen the campaign against her brother’s re-election.

The campaign that denied Saraki election was hinged on the thrust ‘’Otoo Ge’’ (It’s enough).

The campaign was a direct kick against the years Bukola Saraki has held the state in a vice grip of political power.

Saraki upstaged his late father late Olusola Saraki by denying his sister Gbemi the chance to become the Governor of Kwara state.

Societynow.ng gathered that Gbemi’s deal not to seek elective position muted her involvement with APC and gave strong winds to the party’s intense campaign against Saraki.

Societynow.ng gathered that Gbemi secured the promise of a ministerial appointment in providing the support that knocked out her brother from his high tower of political influence.

Societynow.ng, however, gathered that Senate President Bukola Saraki put in place a plan B to avoid completely losing out as a major player in the politics of Kwara state ahead of the March 9 Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly Election.
