The funky king deeply offended the sensibilities of traditionalists and custodian of cultures in his kingdom – and across the Yoruba land – when he chose to wear foreign apparels on the throne.

He opted for a shirt, jacket, jean – instead of traditional clothes while seating on the throne and wearing the revered crown and clutching the staff of office.

The noise over this development was yet to die down, when the funky King made another controversial move.

He hijacked the function the most senior islamic leader in his kingdom to lead the muslim congregation in Eid I’ll Fitri prayer – the open ground worship that comes after Ramadan..

The Iwo monarch is accused of being a criminal, a jail bird, and conducting internet fraud in his palace.

The court issued a summon for the Oluwo to appear to state his side of the case.

The monarch refused, and not only that also threatened to invoke traditional warrant against the magistrate when the latter issued one against the funky king.

The Oluwo went on to declare he will never appear in court to answer charges against him.

”It wasn’t really a smart play from the king…he played right into the hands of his opponents” a source claimed.
