Muyiwa Oladapo Oladipo, the former speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly has teamed up with Ex-Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Oladipo is from Ishagamu, a part of Remo which is the political base of Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Abiodun hails from Iperu.

“Muyiwa Oladapo’s rejoining the Amosun political family is part of a series of such reunions that are meant to help the former Governor regain lost ground in the politics of Ogun state ahead of the 2023 general election, particularly the gubernatorial one” SocietyNow.Ng learned.

Oladapo who served as a commissioner throughout the two-term reign of Amosun as the Governor of Ogun State (2011- 2019) was one of the political players that helped Abiodu to power.

Governor Abiodun who took office in May 2019 was the beneficiary of widespread angst against Amosun who went all out in a futile effort to install his choice – Adekunle Akinlade – as successor.

Amosun’s key men, including Oladapo, revolted and switched allegiance to Abiodun, especially when the former Governor planted Akinalde in rival Allied People’s Movement (APM) to contest the 2019 gubernatorial election against his party- the All Progressives Congress(APC).

Amosun now the Senator representing Ogun Central was tagged “dictatorial”, “unyielding” and “never listens to advice”.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered Abiodun got the support of Amosun’s men with the pledge to be “a better man and governor”.

Inside information revealed that while the jury is still out on the pledge made by the Governor, he has lost the support of many of these men over the claim that he remains “unreachable”. And building a new crop of loyalists.

This is in the face of massive fence-mending by Amosun who is postured as “learned his lesson”.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that one of the things that are working for Amosun is relegating many of those who urged him on in the 2019 gubernatorial misadventure in his latest move to take power from Abiodun and his backers.

Added information has it that the rejoining of Amosun by Muyiwa Oladapo took months of talks and reaching of assurances.

The move by the former Speaker of the State House of Assembly – 1999 to 2003 – is expected to be replicated by a number of Governor Abiodun’s loyalists that Amosun and his men are “in talks with”.
