Bago Replaces Commissioners Who Resigned To Contest 2027 Election

Niger State Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has assigned some commissioners to oversee vacant ministries following the resignation of six commissioners to contest the 2027 general elections.
The decision was taken during the last executive council meeting held at the council chamber, government house, Minna.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alh. Muazu Hamidu Jantabo, is to oversee the Ministry of Rural Development, while Alh. Mustapha Ndajiwo, Commissioner for Budget and Planning, will oversee the Ministry of Special Duties.
Commissioner for Investment, Alh. Aminu Suleman Takuma, is to supervise the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Cooperatives; Mr. Jacob Baba Isa, Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, will oversee the Ministry of Sports Development.
Alh. Abdullahi Adamu Katcha, Commissioner for Technical and Vocational Education, will supervise the Ministry of Tertiary Education, and Hajiya Hadiza Idris Kuta, Commissioner for Women Affairs, will oversee the Ministry of Art and Culture.
The farmer governor charged the commissioners assigned to supervise the vacant ministries to see the additional task as an opportunity to improve their capacity for service delivery.
He expressed optimism that his cabinet members will close ranks and work assiduously for sustained good governance.
Recall that the farmer governor had directed his appointees seeking elective positions to resign.
