Aregbesola’s Son Kabiru Relocates To Lagos After Father’s Failure To Make Him Gov Oyetola’s COS

Kabiru Aregbesola, son of former governor of Osun State Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has moved out of Osun State, information reaching societynow.ng shows.

According to available information Kabiru resided in Osogbo, Osun state capital throughout his father’s eight years reign as governor.

But recent development in the state is said to have forced him to relocate.

Lagos state, where his father previously served as commissioner for works between 1999 and 2007, is his new place of living, societynow.ng understands.

His relocation comes after the plots by his father to get him an appointment in the government of his successor- and incumbent governor of Osun State – Gboyega Oyetola failed.

Aregbesola actually wanted his son to be appointed as Chief of Staff to governor Oyetola society.ng learned.

But the governor kicked against the move.

The incumbent Governor Oyetola served in the previous administration of Rauf Aregbesola as Chief of Staff to the governor.

Diji Akinola was eventually handed the position.

Mr Diji Akintola was said to be ex-governor Rauf Aregbesola’s alternative candidate.

And this was viewed in many quarters as a reprieve of sort for the former state helmsman.

Now there are talks that a political appointment is in the offing for recently relocated Kabiru in Lagos state.

His father is widely seen as shadow power in the politics of Lagos state with the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu confirmed as the main clout.

Kabiru Aregbesola is the ex-governor’s son behind the infamous and largely criticised Tablet of Learning (Opon – Imo) distributed to secondary students in Osun State.
