Video: Moment Elumelu Changed Life Of Entertainer Who Attended Heirs Insurance Travel Festival ‘To See Food Chop’
experienced a sudden change in fortune
From sleeping on the streets, the life of a young entertainer, Toby, has been transformed.
Watch the moment the rapper and self-confessed multi-instrumentalist, who had been living on the tough side of life, experienced a sudden change in fortune through a gesture championed by Africa’s leading philanthropist and investor, Tony Elumelu, at the Heirs Insurance Travel Festival.
Tobi disclosed that he attended the event — organised by a subsidiary of the high-impact Heirs Holdings, with Elumelu as Chairman — “to see food chop” (seeking food to eat).
Elumelu’s floodgate-opening gesture of favour to the struggling rapper aligns with his campaign for shared prosperity across Africa, especially through the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF).
TEF has funded and mentored over 20,000 young African entrepreneurs across all 54 African countries, catalysing thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises that are today creating jobs and driving innovation in their communities.
