Tunde Soleye Relegated To Back Row At Annie Okonkwo’s 50th Birthday Bash For Wife, Chinye!

Socialite, Tunde Soleye recently suffered an unexpected fate.

He was relegated to back row at a talk of the town shindig.

And not only this- attendees gave him the horror of every public face – he was not recognised!

The happenstance transpired on Sunday May 26 2013. The occasion was the 50th birthday celebration of Chinye Okonkwo- wife of former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Annie Okonkwo.

The venue was Ikoyi, Lagos home of the former law maker.

Soleye, the estranged hubby of more popular face Nike Osinowo was guest at the event-but was unrecognised.

Disclosed an a witness ‘ when he arrived, people that normal stand to greet just waved or stretched hands for a handshake remaining on their seat’

‘He couldn’t find a seat amongst fellow socialite- and no arrangement was made for him to seat in their midst.’

‘After he greeted the celebrant and her hubby at the entrance, and with no provision to seat with companions- he was forced to sit at a back row table, with an empty bottle of champagne to keep his company!’

Sources confirmed he left the table and got his fill rounding the venue, exchanging pleasantries with other guests.

Some of the others that attended the celebration were Gov Rochas Okorocha, Senator Chris Ngige, Tony Elumelu and wife- Awele, Philips Oduoza, Chidi Anyaegbu (Chisco) Kashim Imam, Cosmas Maduka, Greg Mbadiwe, Ernest Nwapa, Willie Anumudu and Mike Inegbese.

Those conversant with his ways revealed, Dr Soleye received better treatment at public events.

Reasons for the change in the manner he was received at Chinye Okonkwo’s 50th birthday celebration is not clear at press time.
