Emife, the mother of powerful military officer, General David Jemibewon retired is dead.

Information coming to fore has it that the aged matriarch of the Jemibewon clan passed on yesterday day morning- Thursday July 21, 2016.

Though the specific time of death is yet to be ascertained – the place of demise is confirmed as ‘’Iya Gbede’’.

‘’Iya Gbede’’ situated in Ijumu Local council area of Kogi state is the home town of David Jemibewon whom the discerning know as a highly influential player behind the scene in
the corridor of power.

110 years old Madam Emife Jemibewon is survived by the powerful retired military officer and his sister Janet who is already a grandmother.

Sources disclosed though the death comes at a ripe age for the deceased, General as the personal friend of President Muhammadu Buhari is fondly called is said to be heart broken by this development.

“He has taken it very hard’’ a source stated.

The son is said to be extremely close to the mother while she lived, he was said to have spared no expense to give her comfort till she breathed her last.

Concerning burial plans a source said ‘’that is too early to talk about…the grief is still too much’’

Societynowng.com however learnt there is a strong possibility the burial would be a testament to the vast influence and clout of the retired military officer.

One of the very few that has the ears of President Muhammadu Buhari and with good rapport with a litany of top level players in the present administration, General David Jemibewon (rtd) was equally a respected behind the scene personae in the administration of Ex president Goodluck Jonathan and beyond.

Held in high esteem by Billionaire Mike Adenuga and other kings of businesses, those who should known claim ‘’the General’’ has remained relevant through different chapters of political and engagement in the country by remaining low profile and helping out individuals in knotty situations.
