Burial Details For Advertising Great Olugbodi’s Mother Out

The family of Mrs Grace Olabisi Olugbodi, mother of advertising and marketing communications executive Tunji Olugbodi, has announced funeral arrangements for the 83-year-old matriarch, who passed away on April 18, 2026.
In a statement issued by the Olugbodi family of Ara Kingdom in Egbedore LGA of Osun State, the deceased, popularly described as “Extraordinary Grace,” died exactly one week after the burial of her husband of over 65 years, J.O. Olugbodi, who was buried on April 11, 2026.
“This occurred on 18th April 2026, exactly a week after the burial of her husband of over 65 years, the unforgettable J.O. Olugbodi on 11th April 2026. What God has joined together, even death could not keep apart for long,” the family said.
The family described the late matriarch as a woman of deep faith, resilience and service, whose life was marked by dedication to God, family and community.
According to the statement, “True to her name, she lived a life of extraordinary grace, bringing up eight boys and one girl, and being a mother, big sister and friend to many other people
“She was a pillar of faith, love and grace. Her life was a testament of service to God and to the transformation that comes from knowing Jesus as Lord and Saviour.”
Her son, Tunji Olugbodi, executive vice-chairman of Verdant Zeal Marketing Communications Group, said while the family mourns her passing, they are comforted by her legacy and reunion with her late husband.
“Though we mourn, we rejoice that she is now resting peacefully in the bosom of her Maker, reunited with her husband. She was indeed an extraordinary blessing,” he disclosed.
Funeral activities will begin with a service of songs and tributes on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Union Baptist Church, Osogbo, Osun State.
The funeral service and interment are scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026, at First Baptist Church, Ara Kingdom, Osun State, by 11am.
Mrs Olugbodi is survived by her children, grandchildren, siblings, nephews, nieces and other extended family members.
The family expressed gratitude for what it described as a life of “extraordinary grace,” saying her memory will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew her.
