Ongoing projects across Bayelsa state are not experiencing lack of funding as the government has continued to prioritize developmental projects.
Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Mrs. Ebiowou Koku-Obiyai, who stated this during the transparency briefing said projects such as roads, bridges, stadium, secretariat complex and gas turbines have achieved significant progress and milestones because of adequate funding.
“The Assured Prosperity administration has been working tirelessly in diversifying the state economy, where serious investments have been made in the blue economy, agriculture, marine transport, tourism and the acquisition of two aircraft”, she also stated.
According to her, the government remained committed to transparency and accountability, hence, the regular financial briefing to ensure accountability and progress reports to the citizens.
The Technical Adviser on Treasury, Accounts and Revenue, Mr. Timipre Seipulou read out the breakdown of income and expenditure of the state for three months of October, November and December, 2025, with the assurance that Bayelsa State Government is meeting up with its finances because of the prudent nature of the Governor, Senator Douye Diri.
Others at the briefing were the Accountant-General of the State, Tokoni Ifidi and the Director-General, Bayelsa Government New Media, Dr. Kolawole Oredipe.
